We are thrilled to offer an exceptional opportunity for a Level 3 Childcare Practitioner to advance as a Cover Floor Supervisor. In this role, you will step into the shoes of the floor supervisor during their absences due to days off and annual leave. Your primary responsibility will be to support the day-to-day operations of our setting, working closely with the manager and deputy manager to ensure the highest quality care and learning experiences for children aged 0-12 years.

Key Responsibilities:

• Report any concerns, issues, or disagreements to the line manager promptly and effectively.
• Actively participate in team meetings, contribute to activity planning, and assist in preparation.
• Collaborate with parents, schools, and external agencies as directed, fostering positive relationships.
• Promote parental engagement and involvement in the setting to enhance children's experiences.
• Demonstrate respect towards all children, parents, and staff, setting a positive example of conduct.
• Assist in maintaining up-to-date administrative tasks and records.
• Support the maintenance of records and systems as directed.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, such as The Children’s Act 1989, CIW, and Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
• Contribute to equal opportunities and adhere to related policies in all activities.
• Participate in creating and maintaining risk assessments and policies.
• Attend regular training sessions for continuous professional development and staying updated on legislative changes.
• Cultivate an enjoyable and high-quality environment for children's growth and development.
• Collaborate with parents, carers, and families to ensure a holistic approach to child well-being.
• Share responsibility for maintaining health and safety standards within the nursery.
• Maintain cleanliness of the children and the setting in line with health and safety policies.
• Familiarize yourself with and strictly adhere to emergency and security protocols.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean driving license and possess access to a vehicle with valid business insurance for required duties.
• Foster a collaborative team spirit, actively contribute ideas during meetings, and play an engaged role in the team.
• Monitor children's development progress and contribute to planning future learning steps.
• Uphold professionalism and maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Demonstrate confidence and a strong grasp of equal opportunities principles, promoting diversity and multiculturalism in planning.
• Complete tasks assigned by management in a timely and effective manner.
• Conduct school runs as needed, embodying the values of the company.

Qualifications and Attributes:

• Hold a CCLD Level 3
