Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Nursery Chef/Childcare Cook to lead the kitchen at our Rayners Lane Nursery. As a Nursery Chef you will provide nutritious and well-balanced meals to around 30 children on a daily basis.

Qualifications:

Minimum Level 2 in Basic Food Hygiene A Level 2/ Level 3 NVQ in either food processing/catering or a Level 3 in supervision of food safety in catering.

Experience:

Have a minimum of 1 years experience within a nursery setting or a commercial kitchen. Skills Ability to plan a 4 week rolling menu that consists of snack, lunch and tea.

The ability to produce healthy and varied meals.

Able to cook for 30 children Must attend staff meetings and prepare a light snack.

Able to work within a team under the guidance of the manager and deputy manager.

Aware of Local Authority and Statutory Health and Safety/environmental legislation and Healthy Eating Safer food Better Business.

To maintain records and standards within the Food Standards Agency. Be able to report any faults or concerns regarding the kitchen.

Salary: £11.50-£12.00 per hour
