Job Description:

As a Catering assistant, you will support the caterer in ensuring our children are provided with healthy nutritious meals throughout the day. You will be required to prepare food from scratch, following our menus, serve and deliver food to our group rooms. In order to maintain our 5-star food rating, you will also be responsible for following strict hygiene rules of the kitchen as well as stock take and ordering of food supplies.

You will work closely with the whole nursery team in ensuring that children dietary and nutritional needs are met. On the job training from our experienced and long-standing caterer will be provided as well as an opportunity to complete your food hygiene certificate.

This position is for part time – Thursday and Friday 7:30am-5pm.

Salary: - £16000-£21500 based on full time (£6400-£8600 Actual)

Cherryfield was established in 2005. We are situated in Epsom in a lovely location next to Southfield Park Primary school, within a 15-minute walk from Epsom train station. We also have plenty of parking for staff and clients. We are 91 place nursery rated Outstanding by OFSTED in 2014 & 2019. We have 5 group rooms for children aged birth to 5 years which offers opportunity for staff to work across all the different age groups within early years. We are a large and busy nursery with a good reputation in the local community and very often, being parents first choice for childcare. We have a team of around 26 staff in a variety of different roles, offering a wide range of training and experience whilst gaining a wealth of knowledge. 

We have our own in-housetraining facilities offering an extensive training programme. In addition, our on the job coaching and training allows staff of all abilities to progress in their role and grow their career within the childcare sector.
