Job Description:

The Forest School ethos and nature based learning are an integral part of our curriculum. Children take part in daily Forest School educational activities at our site in Swithland Woods, as well as on-site Forest School sessions. We have an exciting opportunity available to join our existing Forest School team and expand our current provision.

We are looking for a level 2/3 qualified Forest School leader. A recognised early years qualification is desirable but not essential. A full and clean driving licence is a big plus but not crucial.

You will need to be: passionate about outdoor learning and early years, a child magnet, as well as; skilled at teaching young children, know when to ask questions and when to listen, patient, reliable, flexible, friendly, motivated, enthusiastic and hard working. 

Your role will include: plan, prepare and deliver a range of Forest School sessions based on our nature based learning passport and linked to the CNPG curriculum, meet health & safety requirements, complete and follow risk assessments and delivering parent and child Forest School activities and sessions.

Ideally we are looking for someone to work full-time but we will consider part-time hours.

Established in 2001, The Charnwood Nursery & Pre-school Group (CNPG) began as a single site, 26 place pre-school and now comprises of four nursery and pre-school settings as well as three out of school and holiday clubs based in Thurmaston, Syston, Rothley and Mountsorrel. We deliver a bespoke curriculum, designed around the needs of children and their families, ensuring that they gain skills, knowledge and confidence for future learning.
